Things I'm Loving Right Now

Peet's Coffee, House Blend. A medium bodied coffee with a smooth rich taste. Next if I'm brave I'd like to try their French Roast.

I'm enjoying my new Peet's coffee in a French press. The experts say that this is a better way to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Very tasty. Last summer I was making cold brewed coffee the old fashioned way. Course ground coffee 1/3 cup into a mason jar, fill with 1 1/2 cups cold water & let brew over night. The next morning strain the brewed coffee to remove the coffee grounds. You end up with rich concentrated coffee that you can mix with creamer/or milk and sugar. This makes a wonderful iced coffee for the summer. I've read that you can do the cold brew in a French press. I'll have to give that a try next.

If you have a curvy figure you'll love these jeans from the Gap. They are so comfortable and for us short people they come in a 29inch inseam for a perfect fit.

Last but not least, these lime green Havaianas sandals. They're a perfect bright green for summer. I picked them up at Dick's Sporting Goods on the clearance rack for $4.95! Can't beat that price.

Lately I've been loving all citrus scents. There's just something about the the scents of lemon, lime and orange that brings about a happy feeling. Plus with summer just around the corner the two are perfect together. Makes me think about being at the beach with a fruity drink in hand.
Satsuma Home Fragrance Oil by The Body Shop is a wonderful way to fill your home with a clean energizing scent. I just wish they had a lime scent. Then I could mix it with their coconut or vanilla scent, mmmm I can just smell the goodness.

The Yankee Candle Company has some great summery scents. I've had the Vanilla Lime for awhile now and it's one of my top favorite scents.

Out of Touch

I will be out of touch for awhile. The hard drive in my Mac decided to die on me the other day. Be back as soon as it gets fixed.

Who's the Boss?

Two beds, three dogs. Funny thing is the smallest and oldest one of them gets the biggest bed.

What are Toby & Gizmo up to?

Hello mom! We miss you!

There's Always a First

One of my jobs is working at an emergency veterinary facility that sees exotics along with the normal household pets. Every once in a while something comes in that you never thought you'd touch.

This is a photo of one of my patients. He's a 45lb Boa Constrictor. Notice I am not the one holding him.

Then there's the Condor (not him in the picture, didn't have time to snap one of my own) that came in for not eating. Big bird weighing in at 20lbs and very strong. Thank goodness his handler was willing to hold him for the procedures, since she was the one who got bit a couple of times. I got the fun job of listening to his heart rate with a stethoscope while he was under anesthesia for radiographs. That doesn't sound like a bad job, but most people don't realize how incredibly smelly these birds of prey are.

Speaking of birds of prey, look what was perched on our roof top this morning.

Camp Zoe is Growing

We have three more members for our doggies summer camp. Meet the Bichons. They will be staying with us for the next week.

Toby & Gizmo are having a good time playing with them.

Looks like it's break time.

Today's You Won't Believe It Sighting

I know gas prices are getting up there, but this lady has found a way around that. A motorized Igloo cooler. With a back rest and foot rest. Even room enough for a small child. Wonder how often she needs to fill up? Do you need a license to drive this?

And for my friend C over seas, here are a few pics of your boys.

More Baby Sewing

I found this really cute fish fabric the other day & couldn't resist making these baby items. Perfect for taking the little one to the beach don't you think.

Zoe & Winston had an appointment for a dental cleaning this morning. One the way home Zoe was so tired from the anesthesia that she could hardly keep her little eyes open. Isn't she precious.

What are Toby & Gizmo up to?

The two of them thought they would take the pink blanket off of the dog bed in the back and run around with it. Sadly though, M has the good camera so I was not able to get any action shots.

Another Day... Another Project

My tote bag needed something extra... I needed something to put my cosmetics in. The one problem with tote bags it that they are like a big dark pit. You can fill them up, but things are not always easy to find.

A friend of mine recently had a baby girl. I've seen so many of these hand made onesies and they all looked so cute. I just had to try to make them myself. I hope she likes them.

This is a jazzed up burp cloth made from cloth diapers. Again I've seen countless tutorials on the web on how to make them, so I did.

Camp Zoe

We have two more dogs at our house for the next 3 weeks. I am dog sitting for a friend of mine and these are here babies.

Meet Toby and...

Gizmo!

Welcome to Camp Zoe, the indoor dog park.

My New Bag

I got crafty again today. Well actually over the last few days. I spent yesterday looking for fabric. Went to Calico Corners, then to Hancock Fabrics then back to Calico Corners. The previous day I spent at Jo-Ann Fabrics. There's literally thousands of fabrics to choose from. Not to mention all the online stores that you can buy from. I finally narrowed it down to these two fabrics.
